Corporate Accounting Supervisor
Position Overview
The Corporate Accounting Supervisor is responsible for leading key aspects of the monthly close and financial reporting cycle, including revenue accruals, compensation-related accounting, and management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and public company reporting requirements. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, knowledge of internal controls, and the ability to supervise and develop accounting staff while supporting efficient close and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the monthly revenue accrual process and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by team members for compliance with accounting standards prior to general ledger posting

Supervise and mentor accounting staff, supporting development in technical accounting knowledge and close responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, schedules, and workpapers for assigned technical accounting areas

Assist with and lead portions of the monthly consolidated financial reporting process, including supporting schedules for equity activity, cash flow reporting, earnings calculations, and management reporting packages

Maintain the monthly close calendar and communicate deadlines to ensure timely completion of deliverables

Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and established SOX financial reporting controls

Research technical accounting matters and prepare supporting analysis for management and external auditors

Support internal and external audit requests as needed

Participate in process improvements, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline

CPA or active progress toward CPA certification preferred

5–7 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting and/or public company environments

Experience in a regulated or asset-intensive industry preferred

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with accounting systems

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to resolve complex accounting issues efficiently

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
