INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN Collision Avoidance System (Camera) Installation – Las Vegas, NV Hiring Immediately | Project Start: First or Second Week of May 2026
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Working on a Collision Avoidance System (CAS) camera installation project for Roscoe in Las Vegas, NV. This is a fresh installation — no removal of existing equipment or cabling involved. Technicians will be deploying camera systems from the ground up at the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada) bus maintenance facilities.
Project Duration: First or Second Week of May 2026 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

- Sunset Operations & Maintenance Facility (SMF) — 5165 W. Sunset Road, Las Vegas, NV 89118
- Integrated Bus Maintenance Facility (IBMF / Simmons) — 2751 Simmons Street, North Las Vegas, NV 89030
JOB DUTIES
- Install Collision Avoidance System (CAS) cameras at designated locations per project specifications
- Mount and secure camera housings, brackets, and enclosures to structures and infrastructure
- Run and route new low voltage cables and conduit as required
- Terminate and dress low voltage wiring neatly and per project standards
- Connect and terminate wiring to power sources, junction boxes, and terminal blocks
- Verify proper camera alignment, angle, and field of view per installation plans
- Perform system power-up, basic functional testing, and verification of camera operation
- Coordinate with lead technician and project management on daily task completion
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times
- Document installation progress and flag any site issues to the project lead
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical background required — this role demands a higher skill level than a general installer
- Prior experience installing security cameras, CCTV systems, or IP camera systems strongly preferred
- Low voltage electrical experience with cable termination and routing
- Experience reading and following wiring diagrams, installation drawings, or technical documentation
- Comfortable working with electronic components, connectors, and hardware mounting
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and ladders
- Ability to work standing, bending, climbing, and crouching for extended periods
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced project environment
- Must be reliable with strong daily attendance and punctuality
- Must commit to the full project duration
Preferred:
- CCTV or IP camera installation experience
- Experience with collision avoidance or fleet safety camera systems (Roscoe, Mobileye, Lytx, Samsara, or similar)
- Low voltage or alarm/security system certification (ESA/NTS or equivalent)
