Job Description: Litigation Paralegal
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of the litigation process. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive professional who can work independently while also collaborating with attorneys and staff across the firm.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to subpoenas, medical and deposition summaries, production logs, discovery and trial assistance. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. This role requires occasional overtime and travel, especially for out of town trials.
Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with case preparation, including organizing case files, drafting correspondence, and managing discovery materials.

Conduct factual and legal research to support case strategy.

Prepare, format, and file legal documents in state and federal courts.

Coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials, ensuring all logistics and materials are in place.

Summarize depositions, discovery responses, and other case-related documents.

Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules.

Liaise with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed.

Support attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate (preferred).
- 4-6+ years of Defense litigation experience in a law firm setting.

Experience within the insurance-related industry

Familiarity with e-filing systems and case management software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills
