Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, action-oriented Benefits Analyst / Benefits Specialist to support the administration, communication, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs. This role will work closely with HR leadership and employees to ensure benefit plans remain competitive, compliant, and effectively communicated across the organization.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-service driven, and experienced in benefits administration, HRIS systems, and employee communications. This individual should thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support employee benefit programs, including:
- Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
- Retirement and financial benefit programs such as 401(k), pension, profit sharing, and international retirement plans
- Coordinate and deliver annual open enrollment activities and year-round employee benefit communications
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain and update benefit records within HRIS platforms
- Analyze benefit data, trends, and utilization to support program recommendations and decision-making
- Stay current on industry trends, compliance requirements, and legislative changes affecting employee benefits
- Assist with benefit audits, reconciliations, accounting functions, and vendor coordination
- Support policy development and process improvements related to employee benefits
- Research and resolve complex benefits-related issues
- Participate in special HR and benefits projects as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of employee benefits experience required
- Experience supporting both health & welfare and financial benefit programs preferred
Required Skills & Knowledge
- HRIS experience is required
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong knowledge of employee benefit programs and applicable federal/state regulations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Customer-service focused with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-starter with a sharp attention to detail and a results-driven mindset
