Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A

Location: Greater Houston Area (Hybrid/On-Site)

We are partnering with a growing industry leader in the industrial services sector to identify a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance & Accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with operational leadership and executive management in a fast-paced, data-driven environment supporting strategic initiatives, operational performance, forecasting, and financial planning activities across multiple business lines.

The ideal candidate will bring strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, experience supporting operational or manufacturing environments, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple operating segments
• Develop and maintain financial models related to revenue drivers, utilization, margins, cost structures, pricing, and operational performance
• Perform scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and ad hoc financial modeling to support business decisions
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods

Business Performance & Operational Analytics

• Analyze key financial and operational KPIs, including profitability, utilization, manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, pricing, overhead absorption, and product/service margins
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational and financial performance
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and accounting teams to provide analytical support and financial insight
• Support margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives through detailed analysis

Reporting & Accounting Support

• Assist with monthly close activities, including accruals, deferrals, and journal entries
• Ensure consistency and accuracy between forecasts, operational reporting, and financial results
• Support financial reporting requirements and internal controls compliance

Strategic & Capital Analysis

• Assist with capital expenditure analysis and ROI modeling
• Support strategic initiatives including new product/service analysis, operational investments, geographic expansion opportunities, and M&A due diligence activities
• Participate in process improvement initiatives, reporting automation, and ERP/planning system enhancements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 4–7 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial services, rental/service operations, or other asset-intensive environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of financial statements, operational KPIs, cost accounting, and margin analysis
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required
• ERP and financial planning system experience preferred
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
