About This Opportunity
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for supporting accurate inbound and outbound shipment
processing, order picking, documentation control, ERP transactions, and warehouse coordination. This
role verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, picks and stages orders, prepares shipping documents,
maintains shipment records, and helps ensure materials and finished goods are received, staged,
shipped, and documented accurately.
This position works closely with the Warehouse Lead and Material Handler to support timely material flow,
inventory accuracy, shipment readiness, and audit-ready documentation. The Shipping and Receiving
Clerk helps ensure orders are picked correctly, shipments are properly labeled and packaged, and all
related transactions and records are completed in accordance with company requirements, customer
requirements, and applicable shipping procedures.
Knowledge / Skills:
· Knowledge of basic shipping, receiving, order picking, and warehouse processes
· Ability to read purchase orders, sales orders, pick lists, packing slips, work orders, labels, and
shipping documents
· Basic understanding of packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and related shipment
paperwork
· Basic computer, data entry, and math skills
· Experience using ERP, inventory, or shipping systems preferred
· Strong attention to detail when checking part numbers, quantities, labels, and documentation
· Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities
· Effective communication skills and ability to work with warehouse, production, quality, purchasing,
customer service, and carriers
· Ability to follow direction from the Warehouse Lead and work as part of a team
Qualifications / Education / Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required
· 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing
environment preferred
· Experience picking, verifying, staging, or preparing orders preferred
· Experience with ERP, inventory, or shipping software preferred
· Forklift experience preferred, or ability to become certified as required
· Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as needed

Duties / Responsibilities:
· Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and in a timely manner
· Pick, verify, and stage customer orders, production orders, or internal material requests based on sales orders, work orders, pick lists, or direction from the Warehouse Lead · Confirm picked items match required part numbers, quantities, labels, and shipment documentation · Report shortages, incorrect parts, damaged materials, missing labels, or location issues to the Warehouse Lead · Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, labels, and other required documentation · Assist with receiving transactions in the ERP or inventory system as required · Prepare and maintain shipping documents including packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and related paperwork · Help ensure outbound shipments are properly packed, labeled, documented, and staged for pickup · Assist with labeling, staging, moving, and organizing materials or finished goods as needed · Communicate with warehouse, production, quality, purchasing, customer service, and carriers as needed to support shipping and receiving activity · Scan, upload, file, and maintain shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with company requirements · Support inventory accuracy by reporting picking, receiving, shipping, quantity, or location discrepancies · Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and stock verification as directed by the Warehouse Lead · Support the Material Handler with staging, moving, labeling, and organizing materials for shipment or production use · Maintain clean and organized shipping, receiving, staging, picking, and warehouse areas · Follow all company safety procedures and proper material handling practices · Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical / Environmental Requirements:
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and handling materials
· Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as needed
· Regular movement of boxes, pallets, freight, finished goods, and warehouse materials
· Use of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts, if certified
